Welcome to Ikigai

Your Holiday Home

in the Heart of Rome

About Us

Ikigai is not just a word or a name; it's an ancient Japanese concept.

Made up of "iki" meaning "life" and "gai" meaning "value," it encapsulates the primary purpose of one's life and happiness—the reason you wake up every day.

To find your Ikigai, you need to ask yourself questions with an open mind, ready for discovery and new experiences. Ikigai is also linked to the concept of flow, which happens when you're constantly doing something you love and are good at, with the potential added benefit of bringing value to others' lives.

This house in the heart of Rome has been, and continues to be every day, my Ikigai. A project I’ve always had in my heart, which, with determination and hard work, I’ve finally managed to make a reality.

There’s so much of me in this house: my love for travel, for colors, for comfort, for handmade and artistic things.

My desire is to share this happiness and peace with all the travelers who stay here, and for each one to leave a little bit of love within the house.

Our corner of tranquility,

in the heart of the eternal city.

We are in the heart of Rome, just steps away from the Colosseum and the Imperial Fora, exactly between the Basilica of San Giovanni and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, in a multicultural neighborhood like Esquilino.

We’re very close to the vibrant San Lorenzo and Pigneto neighborhoods. Right on the street is the Manzoni metro stop, as well as buses and trams to easily get anywhere. Despite the lively and bustling area, Via San Quintino is a quiet, residential street full of trees.
